Thanks for taking our picture at the viaduct. We were on the depot side of the street. What is it going to take for these truck drivers to avoid the viaduct before someone gets hurt? Luckily school wasn't in session yet.You will still have some kids going to the jr high to pick up the bus or to go to school. Here is a picture from the south side of the viaduct.

Tim:

Do you really believe that the reason the viaduct has not been fixed is part of a nefarious plot to trick unsuspecting motorists into hitting it, so the City can collect a few hundred dollars in fines?

Before throwing blame at the City for a viaduct it does not own, consider for a moment the legal, engineering and financial issues involved in addressing the problem. Then explain how you would propose to fix it and who you think should pay the cost.

The true test is to get in your car, pretend you are not from the Defiance area and follow the street signs. What many take as common knowledge becasue we live here is not to someone from out of town. Granted I would also look at the low viaduct staring me in the eyes, yet the sings in this town are mis leading.

This should have been fixed years ago, it is just another way to make money for the City and county by assesing fines to those who hit it.

Another way to keep the cash flowing.

You cant tell me in any way that if they really wanted it fixed it would be done.

Another snafu by the City of Defiance
