Message from a"New Shareholder"

To members of congress
As a"New Shareholder"of GM,I call on the other"New Shareholders"to tell congress to keep the jobs of the 21,000 workers who are to be let go because of the goverments deal with the UAW and GM in order to secure funding for restructing.The money to be used for this is being involuntarily being taken from myself and others.So as a paying majority shareholder,will we be listened to on this matter?Any one from congress,the UAW,or GM, I await your reply.

So, you are suggesting that we continue with the unsuccessful business model and endanger the investment?
I am not thrilled about the government intervention, but I think if we wont GM to continue to be an employer in any capacity then there will be certain changes that will likely be substantial. To continue along the same course which has brought us to this point only ensures that GM will never again become solvent, much less strong. |
