LINDSAY SHAEFFER of Napoleon has been named to the dean's list for the 2008-09 spring semester at Brevard College, Brevard, N.C.

CHELSEA CASTILLO, a recent graduate of Ayersville High School, has received a Dean's Award scholarship to attend Columbus College of Art & Design. The merit scholarship was awarded as a result of an art portfolio competition held at CCAD which was judged by a team of CCAD faculty members.
Chelsea will begin her studies this autumn and plans to major in illustration. She is the daughter of PABLO and BETH CASTILLO, Defiance, and is a student of art instructor Roberta Yeager.

Area students at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va., recently received their academic degrees. JESSICA KING earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration. She is the daughter of JAMES and DARLENE KING, Archbold. KATRINA LEHMAN graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor's degree in biology. She is the daughter of ERIC and MARCIA LEHMAN, Archbold.

SARAH BECK, a sophomore history major with a special education licensure, K-12, is the daughter of ARLAN and BRENDA BECK, Archbold.
ANDREA BOWMAN, a junior applied sociology and justice, peace and conflict studies major, is the daughter of RANDALL and BARBARA BOWMAN, Archbold.
LARA GAUTSCHE, a senior social work and psychology major, is the daughter of LUTHER and MARY GAUTSCHE, Archbold.
KATRINA LEHMAN, a senior biology major, is the daughter of ERIC and MARCIA LEHMAN, Archbold.

KRISTIN LEACH is a senior majoring in early childhood education and LINDSEY LEACH is a sixth-year pharmacy major. They are both the daughters of RICHARD and JANICE LEACH, Defiance.
TRAVIS McGHEE, a senior majoring in computer science, is the son of MICHAEL and JANICE McGHEE, Defiance.
MEGAN MEYER, a first-year pharmacy major, is the daughter of BURDETTE and JEAN MEYER, Defiance.
KRISTIN PARTEE, a junior majoring in accounting, is the daughter of CLYDE and MICHELLE VARNER, Napoleon.

Two area residents have been named to the Wilmington College dean's list for the 2009 spring semester. They are BETHANY SKIVER of Defiance, who is a senior, and TARA BISHOP, Ottawa, who is also a senior.

BRITTANY RYAN, a 2006 graduate of Napoleon High School, was recently named to the Phi Sigma Theta honor society at the University of South Florida. Ryan, a biomedical science major, was also named to the dean's list for the spring semester with a 4.0 grade-point-average. She is the daughter of NICK and JULIE RYAN, Napoleon.
