Defiance Clinic nurse, Mary Gerschutz, RN, has achieved certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) and will add Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) to her credentials. She takes care of patients in the oncology and hematology center at Defiance Clinic.
OCN is one of six certifications offered by ONCC and indicates basic certification focusing on adult care. Certification is based on knowledge and experience and bolsters patients' confidence in the care they receive.
