Midge Goethe

WAUSEON -- Midge J. (Victor) Goethe, 75, Wauseon, passed away Saturday morning, October 31, 2009, in her home.

Prior to her retirement, she had worked for the First National Bank in Wauseon and had also been the manager at Kettenring Country Club in Defiance. Midge was born in Wauseon on November 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Sam and the late Virginia (Hill) Goldsmith. She was a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon.

Surviving is one daughter, Pam (Carl) Spadafore of Wauseon; two sons, Sam (Patrice) Victor of Sylvania and Dan Victor of Fort Myers, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Arlene Eicher of Wauseon and Bernie Shock of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by both parents; and one brother, Jim Goldsmith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Crossroads Evangelical Church, 845 E. Leggett St., Wauseon, Ohio, with Pastor Matthew Boyers, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may call in the Chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties or Crossroads Evangelical Church. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
