Tommy Thompson

DELTA -- Tommy Lee Thompson, 48, of Delta, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his home.

Tommy was born December 4, 1960, in Wauseon. His father, Cecil "Pete" Thompson, survives in Liberty Center and his mother and stepfather, Helen and Tom Rosak, survive in Alta Vista, Virginia.

Also surviving are his grandparents, Cecil and Virginia Krauss, Swanton; daughter, Brandy Thompson, Defiance; sons, Brock Thompson and Brian Moore; grandchildren, Micaela, Deandra, Alex and Olivia; sisters, Lisa (Steve) Blair of Napoleon, Jenny (Tom) Blossom of Virginia and Tiffany Thompson, Holgate; brother, Brad Thompson, Liberty Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Lloyd Thompson; and brother-in-law, Scott Gerken.

Tommy had been employed with the Swanton Welding Company for the past several years and previously worked at Campbell's Soup for 15 years and with Bil-Jac. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, doing artwork and collecting Indian artifacts. An independent and strong-willed man, Tommy will be fondly remembered for his positive and optimistic outlook on life.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-9 p.m. in the Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Liberty Center, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. The Rev. Phil Harris will preside and burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville.
