PH puts wraps on eight-peat

HAMLER -- Patrick Henry remained undefeated and earned its eighth straight Northwest Ohio Athletic League championship with a 41-7 victory over Wauseon.

Patriots' senior quarterback Luke George ran for 158 yards and hit paydirt three times to lead the state ranked Patriots (10-0, 8-0 NWOAL) while Lucas Rosebrook added 43 yards and two touchdowns.

Jeff Jasso led the Indians (5-5, 4-4 NWOAL) with 83 yards rushing and a score.

ARCHBOLD -- Jake Elling and Sean Sexton combined for 347 rushing yards as Liberty Center cruised to a 34-14 NWOAL victory.

Elling ran for 229 yards and three touchdowns and Sexton added 118 yards on the ground to lead LC (7-3, 6-2 NWOAL).

Drew Smith led the Streaks (6-4, 5-3 NWOAL) with 112 yard receiving and a touchdown.

DELTA -- Eric Puehler carried 14 times for 185 yards and three scores to lead Delta (3-7, 3-5 NWOAL) past Montpelier (0-10, 0-8 NWOAL) 35-7.

Josh Beverly added two scores and 143 yards for the Panthers in a rushing attack that totaled 406 total yards as a team.

David Ratliff had the Locomotives' lone Locomotive and finished with 53 yards for the game.

Swanton 60, Danbury 0

SWANTON -- Travis Hilton ran for two scores and threw for two more to lead Swanton to a 60-0 victory over Danbury.

Mimmo Lytle also had two scores while Tom Leahey had a 58 yard punt return.

Swanton ends the eason 2-8 and 1-7 in the NWOAL while Danbury finishes 1-9, 0-6 in the TAAC.

METAMORA -- Levi Fisher ran for 200 yards and hit paydirt three times to help lead Bryan to a 35-14 NWOAL win.

Colton Poncsak added 65 yards on the ground and a touchdown for the Golden Bears who close their regular season out at 8-2 overall and 7-1 in the league.

Tyler Sutton led the Vikings (4-6, 2-6 NWOAL) with 48 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Fairview 16, Ayersville 0

AYERSVILLE -- Fairview took a 14-0 halftime lead and held on to beat Ayersville 16-0 to keep its Division V Region 18 playoff hopes alive.

Rodney Webb had 14 rushes for 90 yards for the Apaches (7-3, 5-2 GMC) and Issac Valle's only catch was an 11-yard touchdown grab.

Dillon Flint had 16 carries for 55 yards to pace the Pilots (1-9, 0-7 GMC).
