A Defiance County man died Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on the south side of Defiance, according to the city police department.
Assistant Chief Jeff Mack reports that Michael Chaney, 57, Defiance, died in the accident, which occurred at 11:54 a.m. on South Jefferson Avenue, north of Rosewood Avenue.
Chaney's vehicle rolled over in the single-vehicle crash and Chaney was pronounced dead at the scene by Defiance County Coroner Dr. Paul Brose.
The crash remains under investigation and witnesses are asked to contact the Defiance Police Department at 419-784-5050. The Defiance Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
