Mr. and Mrs. John Salyers of Defiance recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary.
John Salyers and Rheba Elston were married Oct. 28, 1967.
The couple have four children: Corinna Smith, Defiance; John Jr., Ney; Nicky Kelley, Defiance; and Luke, Ney. They have nine grandchildren.
The Salyers are celebrating the special today at an open house from 2-5 p.m. in Delaware Township Building, corner of Ohio 18 and the Bend Road.
