Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eis of Defiance recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Paul Eis and Alverna Schaffer were married June 11, 1949, in First Church of God by Rev. Pinnion.
The couple have six children: Dennis, Ronald “Rock”, Lois Hill and Karen Souza, all of Defiance; and Janet Strickland and Sandy, both of Bryan. A daughter, Linda Eis, is deceased. They have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
