Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Hammons of Defiance recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Burnell Hammons and Marie Eis were married June 6, 1954, in Olive Branch Church of God by Rev. Burnell H. Hammons.
The couple have three children: Daniel, Myton, Utah; Mrs. Howard (Debra) Pleasant, and David (Julie), all of Defiance. A son, Mark, is deceased. They have 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.
The Hammons celebrated the special occasion with a trip out west.
