Defiance Police

Tuesday, 4:21 p.m., at Clinton and Fort streets, a car driven by Desiree Johnson, 19, 262 N. First St., Hamler, struck a truck driven by George Schindler, 60, 05857 Flickinger Road, Ney. Johnson was cited for running a stop sign. Damage to Schindler's vehicle was light and damage to Johnson's vehicle was heavy.

Tuesday, Humberto Perez, age unavailable, Defiance, was served a bench warrant from Defiance Municipal Court.

Tuesday, Matthew Foust, 34, Paulding, was charged with OVI following a traffic stop on Clinton Street.

Today, Frank Lopez, 45, Defiance, was arrested on charges of OVI, driving under suspension and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway following a traffic stop on Clinton Street.

Henry Sheriff

Tuesday, 3:06 p.m., at 419 S. Keyser St., Holgate, a sport utility vehicle driven by Dylan Richardson, 16, Ottawa, struck a van driven by James Brown, 54, 419 S. Keyser St., Holgate. Damage to Brown's vehicle was light and damage to Richardson's vehicle was heavy.

Napoleon Police

Tuesday, Kendric Thomas, 31, Napoleon, was charged with assault and unlawful restraint following an alleged incident at Cliff and Short streets.

Continental Police

Tuesday, Trevor Saylor, 23, Continental, was arrested on an alleged probation violation and served a bench warrant from Paulding County.

Tuesday, Cory Schindler, 22, Grover Hill, was arrested on a charge of theft of services.

Tuesday, a 15-year-old Continental juvenile was summoned to Putnam County Juvenile Court on a charge of assault.

Defiance Common Pleas

Eric Garcia, 19, 1109 Holgate Ave., pleaded not guilty to burglary, a second-degree felony, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray's office. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Thursday and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Daniel Oberlin, 24, 06909 Ohio 66, pleaded not guilty to having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Thursday and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Miguel Alvarado, 39, address unknown, pleaded not guilty to theft from an elderly person or disabled adult, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Tuesday and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Barry Culver, 38, Bryan, pleaded not guilty to theft, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 8 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Sherry Kight, 60, Toledo, pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 9 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Ameer Rashad Ray, 31, Toledo, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 10 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Gary Soncrant, 44, 611 Tiedeman Ave., pleaded not guilty to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 9 and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Kimberly Szabo, 33, 407 Seneca St., pleaded not guilty to endangering children, a third-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 9 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Michael Thompson, 18, Hicksville, pleaded not guilty to arson, a fourth-degree felony. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Tuesday and he was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Michelle Walker, 45, 717 Village Lane, pleaded not guilty to two counts of endangering children, fourth- and fifth-degree felonies. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 9 and she was given a personal-recognizance bond.

 

Steven Stearns, 40, 29992 Defiance-Ayersville Pleasant Bend Road, had an indictment for theft, a fifth-degree felony, dismissed.

Henry Common Pleas

Kent Yarger, 18, Bowling Green, was sentenced to three years in prison and placed on community control for three years after previously pleading no contest to 10 charges of vandalism, fifth-degree felonies, and being found guilty of each.

Ronald Witte, 30, Napoleon, was placed on community control for five years after previously pleading no contest to a charge of assault, a fourth-degree felony.

Virginia Nieto, age unavailable, Napoleon, pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft, a fifth-degree felony. Her personal-recognizance bond was continued and a preliminary hearing was set for Aug. 12.
