Full Gospel Fellowship Breakfast -- Bryan Community Center, 1130 Buffalo Road, Bryan, Saturday, 7 a.m. Guest speaker is Dennis Waters, pastor of Healing Waters Church in Alabaster, Ala.
Mission Cupboard -- Sherwood Baptist Church, 210 W. Elm St., Sherwood, Saturday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Nate Hill Recital -- St. Paul Lutheran Church, 671 Clinton St., Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Hill, a 2009 honor graduate of Defiance High School and son of Walter and Linda Hill, will perform pieces for voice and piano from both the classical and musical theatre genres. The recital is open to the public.
Special Services -- Victory Barn Church, 05256 State Route 49, rural Edgerton, Saturday at 6 p.m., and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Guest speaker is Dennis Waters, pastor of Healing Waters Church in Alabaster, Ala. He will be joined by about 50 members from his congregation, including their teenage praise team Everyone welcome.
Special Speaker -- Zion's Lutheran Church, 1801 E. Second St., Sunday, 9:45 a.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Ron Schlak of the West Virginia-Western Maryland Synod ELCA. Ice Cream Social -- St. John Lutheran Church Family Center, 23120 U.S. 6 (at Ohio 66), rural Stryker, Sunday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., sponsored by LYF youth group. Menu includes hot chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs, homemade ice cream and pie.
Strawberry Festival -- St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 710 Joe E. Brown Avenue, Holgate, Sunday, 11:30-1 p.m. Menu includes hot dog and chicken sandwiches, baked beans, relishes, chips, beverages and strawberry desserts. Free-will offering.
Church Dinner -- Sherwood Baptist Church, 210 W. Elm St., Sherwood, Sunday, 12:15 p.m. Public invited.
Free Community Soup Supper -- Grace United Methodist Church, 121 W. High St., Hicksville, Tuesday, 5-6:30 p.m.
Free Community Supper -- Zion's Lutheran Church, corner of East Second Street and Greenhouse Avenue, Wednesday, 5:15-6:30 p.m. Monthly food pantry and clothes closet services available.
Enchilada Dinner -- Temple of Praise Assembly of God, 505 Elbert St. (off W. Sessions St., three blocks from Defiance College), June 26, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Dine in, carry-out or delivery. Dinners are $6 and include three enchiladas, beans and rice. For delivery, call 419-782-9415.
Barnyard BB-Q Hog Roast -- Ayersville United Methodist Church, June 28, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Meal includes roast pork, hot dogs, fresh corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, melons and more. Free-will offering. Event also features homemade ice cream, "blue ribbon bakery," antique tractors, petting zoo, chicken races, lots of activities for youth and children. Enjoy country and gospel music by Chuck and Bridget Witte, great raffles prizes and 50/50 drawing. Proceeds to community outreach.
