ARCHBOLD -- Northwest State Community College celebrated the 20th anniversary of the early childhood development department with a gathering of faculty, students and alumni. The theme of the evening focused on the "3 R's: Reunion, Recognition and Remembrance." Moe Brubaker of Napoleon was presented with the first honorary award of merit from the early childhood development department in recognition for his outstanding support and service to the program and its goals. He then introduced the establishment of the Judy Brubaker Early Childhood Endowed Scholarship which has been established in memory of his wife, who served as a longtime instructor at Northwest State. More than 200 students have graduated from the program over the past 20 years. Most of these students are working in our local communities serving our educational needs of our children. Comments
