For many, Thanksgiving Day sparks thoughts of turkey, stuffing, football and many other traditions. For others, the festive holiday will kick off with the 15th annual Turkey Trot.The event will feature more than 500 participants and volunteers who will take part in the 4-mile run or fun walk on Thursday at 8:30 a.m., with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Independence Dam State Park.
