DC volleyball drops pair at Rose-Hulman


TERRA HAUTE, Ind. - The Defiance College volleyball team dropped its final two regular season matches on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets fell to Rose-Hulman in three sets and four sets to Illinois College.

Against Rose-Hulman, the Yellow Jackets were led on offense by senior Jessica Tietje's five kills. Freshman Alyssa Turton served up 16 assists to pace the attack.

In the second match, DC was led by Ludeman's 13 kills. Turton directed the offense with a career-high 39 assists.

Defiance will return to action on Tuesda when it travels to Bluffton University for the HCAC Quarterfinals. DC enters to tournament as the six-seed. Match time on Tuesday is scheduled for 7 p.m.
