BRYAN -- Defiance fell short in their final match of the regular season, dropping a 3-2 affair to Bryan in girls soccer action Thursday.
Alexis Wildenberg and Morgan Love each scored for Bryan, with Jill Burkholder adding a penalty kick goal.
Ashley Fogle scored both goals for the Bulldogs (4-9-2). Emily Fronk added an assist, and Brittany Froelich had 12 stops in goal.
Defiance is back in action Monday at Bryan against Wauseon to open sectional play at 5 p.m.
