The Lady Bulldogs of Defiance picked up an easy 25-11, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Kenton in Western Buckeye League volleyball action on Tuesday.

Megan Sewell had six blocks and six kills on the night for the Bulldogs, while Kayle Pasterz was 19-20 on serves receives and 17-17 serving with four aces.

"Megan Sewell did a great job up front at the net for us tonight with blocking and attacking, and Kayla stayed balanced in the back row," said DHS coach Brooke Buti. "But we have got to pick up our game as a team before we play a good Elida team on Thursday."

"How we played tonight is not going to be good enough for sectionals so we have got to get more aggressive," added Buti, whose team is 11-8 and 4-4.

Lindsay Hall gave Elida (5-7-2, 2-4-2 WBL) a 1-0 lead in the first half, but Defiance took the lead at 2-1 in the final 10 minutes of play before Elida tied the game with less than two minutes remaining on a penalty kick.
