State football poll: Liberty Center up to No. 6

Published:

With just three weeks left in the regular season, only three Defiance six-county area teams are ranked in the latest Associated Press, Ohio High School state football poll released Monday evening.

Unbeaten Liberty Center moved up from No. 8 into a tie for No. 6 this week with Bucyrus Wynford in Division V after knocking off then No. 9 and previously unbeaten West Lafayette Ridgewood this past Saturday.

Meanwhile, a pair of area teams landed in the poll this week in Division VI after not being ranked one week ago, with Leipsic checking in at No. 11 and Edgerton checking in at No. 15.
