Defiance and Lima Shawnee battled to a 0-0 draw in boys soccer action at Defiance on Monday in Western Buckeye League play.
The Bulldogs were forced to play short-handed in the second half after losing a player due to a red card.
"I am very proud of the way our team played," stated Defiance head coach Carlos Lopez. "Despite playing 10 on 11, due to the red card in the second half, we played very well defensively. Shawnee is a good team and holding them to no goals in that situation is an accomplishment."
Defiance is now 3-6-2 and 0-5-2 in the WBL, while Shawnee is now 7-4-1 and 4-2-1 WBL). The Bulldogs return to action Thursday in WBL play at Kenton.
