In preparation for the expected temporary diversion of U.S. 24 traffic into Defiance, city council approved a contract for a traffic study Tuesday night. The ordinance was one of three approved by council. Two other routine legislative items concerning the purchase of rock salt and a building code upgrade passed before city historian Randy Buchman proposed a future artifact management system and reviewed upcoming historical presentations.
