Ridgeville Corners man being treated for rare form of cancer
By JARED ORZOLEK
RIDGEVILLE CORNERS Barry Von Deylen woke up one morning around Thanksgiving with a sharp pain in his side above his ribcage.
He sought medical attention and doctors initially told him he had the stomach flu. Later, they removed his gall bladder in an effort to relieve his discomfort. The pain persisted, however, and a few weeks later the Ridgeville Corners resident was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as non-Hodgkins Burkitts lymphoma.
