The decision Defiance City Council made two weeks ago about a proposed tax increase was turned into action Tuesday night.
Council unanimously approved two legislative items which place a .3-percent, five-year income tax increase proposal before city voters at a special election in August. The tax proposal has only to be certified as valid by the countys board of elections to appear on the Aug. 3 ballot.
