Hicksville council discusses plant project funding, hike in cable TV rates

HICKSVILLE Possible funding for the new wastewater treatment plant and an increase in cable television rates topped Hicksville Village Councils meeting on Monday.
Village administrator Kent Miller said a representative from the Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance (DEFA), a government agency dealing with funding for environmental issues, was ready to meet with village officials to discuss financing options for a proposed new wastewater treatment plant. The village is trying to find funding for the estimated $7.4 million project.
