New Defiance Mayor Bob Armstrong will make his pitch tonight for Defiance City Council to approve his administrative lineup. The discussions will occur behind closed doors in executive session when council meets at 7:30 p.m. in the city service building, 631 Perry St. If council agrees on Armstrongs personnel recommendations, the mayor is expected to make an announcement about his finance director and administrator Tuesday night. He (Armstrong) will make a recommendation to council for salary (of the administrator and finance director), said Council President Charles Beard.
