The Northwest Ohio Branch of NAACP is doing its part in joining with a statewide movement to address racial disparities in Ohios school systems, including dropout rates and quality teachers.
We requested an Ohio Educational Equity public hearing, said Steve Coleman, educational chairman with NAACPs Defiance branch. Dr. Richard Motuelle has agreed to this hearing at Defiance City Schools.
The public hearing is slated for 7 p.m. Friday at Defiance High School and will continue to approximately 9 p.m. The public is invited to participate.
