An interchange on U.S. 24 at Defiances West High Street is still a possibility when the federal highway is widened, but is just one of four options being considered by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). It was also the option preferred by local government officials and businessmen who attended a public hearing hosted by ODOT Thursday night at Defiance Junior High School.
