ANTWERP More than 150 people attended a public hearing here Tuesday to discuss proposed changes to U.S. 24 with Ohio Department of Transportation officials.
The hearing addressed proposals to widen and realign approximately 36 miles of U.S. 24 between New Haven, Ind., and Defiance. While the entire highway project encompasses the highway from Toledo to Fort Wayne, the hearing only discussed the section in ODOTs District 1, which runs from the state line to Defiance. The new U.S. 24 will be relocated just south of the existing highway from New Haven to Defiance.
