One question surfacing among Defiance residents is, When will the citys Winn Road compost site reopen? The site was closed earlier this month by the city when Ohio EPA noted that the facilitys yard waste pile had not been mulched and it contained unwanted trash and construction debris. Defiance firefighters also declared the pile a fire hazard.
