State officials audit of Defiance City finances has been made public, and makes a finding for financial recovery against one former top official. Ohio Auditor Betty Montgomerys office released the information today, a month after state auditors met with Defiance city officials about the annual audit. The information was obtained through records from the city finance directors office. The report made a number of citations, most as recommendations on bookkeeping procedural matters but also includes a finding for monetary recovery against former city administrator Roger Reece for $479.38.
