Though the quiet phase of Defiance Area YMCAs capital campaign 2003 is underway, donation activity generated by the fund-raising effort is anything but silent. YMCA officials and volunteers have welcomed dozens of donations in the past few months and most recently, First Federal Bank of the Midwest, with a $100,000 lead gift. To date, $870,000 has been raised.
