Another flood may be coming. Because of the rainfall over the last week, rivers and creeks in the area are swollen and several area roads have closed. In Oakwood, it is predicted the Auglaize River will crest at a level higher than it did during the flood of 1997, according to Randy Shaffer, director of the Paulding County Emergency Management Agency. Back then, a state of emergency was declared by the mayor when several homes were evacuated and the National Guard was called in to help sandbag.
