Fraternal and veterans groups will likely receive some relief when Gov. Bob Taft signs a new state budget law. House Bill 512, passed in January and slated to take effect July 1, originally provided that 65 percent of proceeds earned from on-premise gaming activities, like tip tickets, dice games and daily and weekly raffles, were required to be given to charity.
