Jill Schlachter and Jack Kronk were married on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Ayersville United Methodist Church by Rev. Joel Kocher.
Parents of the couple are Terry and Wanda Schlachter of Defiance and Tim and Traci Kronk of Plain City.
Nuptial music was performed by organist Marilyn Abshire and soloist Jackie Schroeder.
The bride selected an ivory, strapless gown with vertical and asymmetrical draping through the bodice creating a swirl pattern that extended from the lower hips into soft pleats around the skirt. The corset tie back was met with soft draping on the chapel-length train. The bridal bouquet consisted of orange and pink roses mixed with Gerbera daisies.
The wedding colors were aqua and silver.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Christina Rose. Bridesmaids were: Jennifer Dempsey, cousin of the bride; Mallena Starr, Liz Kuebler, sister of the groom; Marcy Hawkins, sister of the groom; and Tracy Kronk, sister-in-law of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Hannah Starr. Flower girls were Ashley and Addison Hawkins, both nieces of the groom.
Serving the groom as best man was Spencer Kocher. Groomsmen were: Alex Kronk, brother of the groom; Alex Baughn, Dennis Dempsey, cousin of the bride; Billy Hawkins, brother-in-law of the groom; and Ty Kronk, brother of the groom. Junior groomsman was Ben Kronk, nephew of the groom. Ring bearer was Jake Kronk, nephew of the groom.
The bride received her degree in psychology in 2010 from Wright State University, Dayton. The groom recently received his degree in sociology from Wright State. He is employed by Meijer in Fairborn.
Following the ceremony a reception for 250 guests was held at the Eagles in Defiance. The couple visited Riviera Maya, Mexico, for their honeymoon. They reside in Fairborn.
