Jewell Auxiliary dues to be paid

JEWELL -- Jewell American Legion Auxiliary met recently in the Jewell Community Center with 12 members present. All joined in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The secretary and treasurer's reports were read and approved. A profit of $104 was made from the recent bake sale.

The auxiliary will serve lunch at the next turkey shoot slated Sunday at the Jewell Community Center. Tickets for the district's past president's scholarship fund will be purchased by the auxiliary. Members are reminded to send their dues to Rosalie Harris as soon as possible. Mary Leonard conducted the contest which was won by Ruby Beecher and Leora Helmke. Lois Oberhaus and Sue Steffel were the hostesses and the evening concluded with card bingo led by Reva Hammon. The next meeting will be Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
