Napoleon teen named national finalist in pageant

NAPOLEON -- Shannon Meyer of Napoleon has earned the opportunity to attend the National American Miss Pageant nationals through her successfully scored event as Miss Napoleon City Queen.

The National Pageant will be held during Thanksgiving week at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., where Meyer will represent the state of Ohio. She will have the opportunity to win her share of more than $500,000 in cash and prizes.

Each year, the National Miss Pageants award $1.5 million in cash, scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist the development of young women nationwide.

Meyer is the daughter of Doug and Linda Meyer.
