Victor Henry Norden, 79, Defiance, Ohio, died Monday morning, February 25, 2013.

He was born in Adams Township on December 11, 1933, son of the late Henry and Helen (Imbrock) Norden. Vic was a member of the class of 1951 from Jewell High School. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. On June 2, 1957, he married Irene Stockman. He was a dairy and grain farmer. A life member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, he served as deacon, chairman, elder and on the cemetery committee. He enjoyed helping with Project Noel. Vic loved to bowl, play cards and games with his grandchildren and attend their sporting events.

He is survived by his wife Irene; two sons, Kenneth (Ann) and Tony (Wendy); two daughters, Mrs. Gwen (Mike) Haller and Mrs. Beth (Dan) Behrman, all of Defiance; three sisters, Velma Freytag of Napoleon, Delora Helmke of McKinney, Texas, and Doris Avers, Woodville Ohio; and nine grandchildren, Weston and Jonathan Haller, Vallori (Brandon) Nagel, Cole and Clay Norden, Amy Behrman, Tye, Tristen and Tegan Norden.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, with graveside military honors to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
