PAULDING -- Dorothy Eileen Potts, 79, Paulding, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
She was born March 8, 1933, in Williams County, Ohio, the daughter of Corwin and Kathryn (Baur) Smith. On October 15, 1954, she married William Joseph Potts, who preceded her in death on October 6, 1982. She was formerly employed by Stokley's Canning Plant.
She is survived by three daughters, Frances Russell of Grover Hill, Ohio, Barbara (LeRoy) Gillett of Bryan, Ohio, and Rose Shepard, Oakwood, Ohio; a brother, Donald (Patricia) Smith, Edon, Ohio; a sister, Viola (Phillip) Lupien, Bryan; daughter-in-law, Cathy Potts, Sherwood; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bill Potts; son-in-law, Pat Shepard; and a sister, Margaret Ann Hoover.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. C. Joseph Fifer officiating. Burial will follow in Bowholtz Cemetery, Paulding County. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, at Den Herder Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
