PAULDING -- Alyse Yvonne Townley, 65, Paulding, died February 12, 2013, at the Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on September 21, 1947, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Carl Ross and Vera Avis (Converse) DeGood. On March 18, 1967, she married Thomas J. Townley, who survives. Alyse was very active in her lifetime. She was an avid bowler, card player, genealogy researcher, member of the Paulding VFW Post 587 Auxiliary, member of many book clubs and a member of the Turtles Club. But most of all, she was a loving, devoted wife and mother. The one thing in this world that kept her going was her family. She will be greatly missed.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa M. Adams of Defiance; one son, Brent (Leslie) Townley of Paulding; three brothers, Rick (Ja Dee) DeGood of Paulding, Gary DeGood of Le Roy, Michigan, and Perry (Gail) DeGood of Perrinton, Michigan; one sister, Dee Becker of Okemos, Michigan; mother-in-law, Lorraine K. Townley of Linden, Michigan; sister-in-law, Deborah L. Townley of Linden, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Robert (Jeanne) Townley of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Mike (Eva) Townley of Flint, Michigan, and Fred (Ellen) Townley of Paulding; four grandchildren, Kyle and A.J. Adams, Briana and Emma Townley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Ross and Vera Avis DeGood; father-in-law, Russell Alex Townley; son-in-law, Steven Lee Adams; and brother-in-law, Timothy Ralph Townley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013, at the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, Ohio. Pastor Ben Lowell will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date. Calling at the Den Herder Funeral Home will be on Sunday, February 17, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday morning for one hour prior to services from 10-11 a.m.
