NAPOLEON -- Paula Jean Bernice Saneholtz, 84, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away January 28, 2013, at the Golden Living Center, Northcrest Nursing Home, Napoleon, Ohio.
She was born July 30, 1928, in Malinta, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Loretta (Schueler) Plotts. On August 20, 1949, she married Norris "Tony" H. Saneholtz, and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2012.
Although she held many jobs throughout her life, including 15 years on the staff of Northcrest Nursing Home, her primary work was maintaining order in a household of five sons. Her efforts were successful as all five sons grew to become respected professionals and loving fathers. Paula was a quiet and unassuming person, but those who knew her knew she had a big heart and a sharp sense of humor. Paula Jean and Tony doted on their grandchildren and attended hundreds of school and athletic events over the years. They also traveled often, with Las Vegas being a favorite destination.
Paula attended St. Augustine Catholic School and graduated from Napoleon High School in 1946.
Surviving are four sons, David (Karen) Saneholtz of Bowling Green, Ohio, Steven (Cheri) Saneholtz and Scott (Betsy) Saneholtz, both of Whitehouse, Ohio, and Ted (Chris) Saneholtz, Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren, Mark, Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Nathan, Marissa, Nolan, Tyler, Joseph, Sydney, Tatum, Ryan, Michele and Renee; eight great-grandchildren; and her mother, Loretta Plotts, Napoleon, Ohio.
She was preceded in death also by her father and one son, Raymond Saneholtz
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon. Interment will be made in Grelton Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
