NAPOLEON -- Roger G. Buchhop, 67, of Napoleon, Ohio, died peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Henry County Hospital.

He was born on February 3, 1945, in Fremont, Ohio. He was married to Carolyn (Wiemer) Buchhop, who preceded him in death on June 23, 2012. Roger worked as a mill operator at Archbold ITT for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler and participated in several local leagues over the years. He also loved to root for the Ohio State Buckeye football team. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Napoleon Township and Bert G. Taylor American Legion Post 300 of Napoleon, and served in the United States Air Force overseas during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his children, Andrew Buchhop and Jennifer Buchhop, both of Napoleon; grandchildren, Jordan, Jaden and Qwynn; and sister-in-law, Geraldine Wiemer of Napoleon.

He was also preceded in death by his loving adoptive parents, George and Dorthea (Myers) Buchhop; and a brother, Dick Benge.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at noon, with visitation from 10 a.m.-noon at Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure. Interment will follow at Hockman Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
