Steve Michoff, 87, of Defiance, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening December 26, 2012. He had been residing at the Laurels of Defiance for the past several years.
Steve was born June 17, 1925, in Toledo, and was the son of Steve Laura (Hastings) Michoff.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred (Allgire) Michoff, whom he married on May 5, 1943. Steve is also survived by a daughter, Marcia Michoff of Defiance; two grandchildren, Adam Woods of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Erica Woods of Defiance; three brothers, Robert Michoff and David (Dixie) Michoff all of Bryan, and Michael Michoff of Georgetown, CA; and a sister, Nancy (Phillip) Moore of Flagstaff, AZ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Woods; two sisters, Laura Michoff and Marion Brick; and a brother, Max Michoff.
Steve served in the U.S. Army during WW II and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He worked at All-Star Products for many years and was a member of the Defiance
Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and VFW Post 3360, all of Defiance. Steve
enjoyed camping and spending time with his two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Retcher officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 12 noon. Burial will follow and will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.
