CONTINENTAL -- Mary M. Motycka, 89, of Continental, died at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center, Defiance.

She was born March 6, 1923 in

Paulding to the late Alois and Mary (Kominek) Dvorak. On February 2, 1946, she mar-

ried Joseph Motycka. He died August 11, 2007.

Surviving are three children, Janet (Ken) Niese of Continental, Linda (Dwight) Niese of Lancaster, PA and Eugene "Gene" (Nancy) Motycka of Lima; six grandchildren, Andrew (Glenna) Niese, Julie (Rick) Hostettler, Vanessa (Junius) Frederick, Damon (Traci) Niese, Joseph Motycka and David Motycka; and six great-grandchildren, Christian Niese, Owen Niese, Cassie Hostettler, Zander Hostettler, Hayden Frederick and Saxon Niese.

She was preceded in death also by a brother, Alois Dvorak.

Mary retired as head cook at Elmwood High School in Bloomdale and had worked at Heinz in Bowling Green. She was also a homemaker and worked with her husband on their dairy farm. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, and a member of the Czech Society of America.

A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where there will be a rosary at 2 p.m.
