Nancy A. Eitniear, 77, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the Mercy Hospital of Defiance.
She was born April 30, 1935, and was the daughter of Galen and Florence (Lantz) Brewer. On November 20, 1953, she married James Eitniear, and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2003.
Nancy is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Sidney) Weber of Delphos, Ohio, Cindy (Wayne) Newman of Defiance, and Becky (James) Bidlack of Greenwood, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, Corey (Marie) Weber, Zachary Weber, Adam (Melissa) Weber, Ian (Kristen) Weber, Lindsay, Lance and Brent Newman, Holly Zipfel, Danielle (Brad) Fitzmorris and Sara (Scott) Aiken; nine great-grandchildren and one expected; a brother, Terry (Bonnie) Brewer of Defiance; two sisters, Linda Varner of Defiance and Susan (John) Keeler of Paulding; and a special friend, Don Hull of Defiance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; a daughter, Connie Jo Eitniear; and a brother; Larry Brewer,
Nancy was a devoted mom and grandma. She worked at JCPenney and in the pharmacy at the former Defiance Hospital. Nancy had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Calling hours will be Friday, December 28, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Joe Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.
