Neva Cluts

PAULDING -- Neva Maxine Cluts, 91, of Paulding, Ohio, died November 22, 2012, at the Gardens of Paulding.

She was born October 11, 1921, in Payne, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph M. and Portia G. (Jackson) Adamski. In 1943, she married Roy E. Cluts, who died in 2006, after 63 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Jacob's United Church of Christ in Payne, Ohio, having held the offices of secretary and treasurer. She and her husband owned Cluts Oliver Sales & Service dealership in Paulding, Ohio. Later she worked at Cassel's Jewelry and Ducats Store. She was a member of Payne American Legion Auxiliary, where she held the office of secretary. She was a past secretary and president of the former Paulding County Business and Professional Women. For almost 50 years, she was secretary of the Payne High School Alumni Association. Many will remember her as an avid cookie cutter collector and a volunteer at Paulding Elementary.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela K. and Stephen F. Young, and one granddaughter, Stephanie K. Young of Bowling Green, Ohio. Also surviving is one brother, Anthony Leon (Gladys) Adamski of Payne, Ohio.

Visitation is on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at St. Jacob's United Church of Christ, Payne, Ohio, from 8-9 a.m. before the funeral at 9 a.m. Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, is handling arrangements.
