BRADENTON, Fla. -- Frank L. Wild, 86, of Westminster Shores, Bradenton, died Nov. 25, 2012, in Bradenton.
Born in Sandusky, Ohio, Mr. Wild came to Bradenton from Defiance, Ohio, in 1980.
He was retired from General Motors Corporation. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Bradenton Masonic Lodge; the Sahib Shrine, Sarasota; and the Royal Order of Jesters. He also volunteered for the Methodist Church Share Food program for seven years. He had over 10,000 hours and 14 years volunteering at the Shrine Hospital for Children in Tampa, Fla.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy (John) Hoschak of Defiance and Pat Wild of Bel Aire, Texas; three sons, David (Emily) Wild of Weston, Fla., Jack P. (Carol) Stevens of Defiance, and William T. Stevens, of Defiance; six grandchildren, Julie (Ron) Peio, John S. Hoschak, Jason (Janelle) Hoschak, Jan (Renee) Hoschak, and Eric (Tonya) Retcher; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The National Cremation Society in Sarasota is handling arrangements. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials are requested to be sent to the Shriners Hospitals.
