NORTH CREEK -- Ruth B. Stuber, 82, of North Creek, died at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at her residence, surrounded by her family, following a long battle with cancer.
She was born March 25, 1930, in Fort Jennings, to the late Adolph and Regina (Wyant) Meyer. On June 19, 1948, she married Raymond Stuber who died July 28, 1994.
She is survived by nine children, Donna (Roy) Ort of Defiance, Evelyn (Mike) Brown of Bradenton, Fla., Pauline Averesch of Miller City, Karen (Jim) Hill of Napoleon, Gerald (Donna Schroeder) Stuber of Miller City, Ron (Deb) Stuber of Defiance, Thomas (Leurie Allen) Stuber of Bradenton, Fla., Sue (Brian) Jorrey of Kalida, and Douglas (Esther) Stuber of Napoleon; 30 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alphonse Meyer of Wapakoneta; and three sisters, Eleanor (Don) Heitmeyer of Ottawa, Darlene O'Brien of Bellefontaine, and Dorothy Harpring of Delta.
She was also preceded in death by a grandchild; and three brothers, Frederick Myers, George Meyer and Leonard Meyer.
Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of Boots' N Buckles line dancing club and enjoyed polka dancing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria, with Father Anthony Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Creek. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
