NAPOLEON -- Terice Alexandra Warncke, 44, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in Defiance, Ohio. She was born April 26, 1968 in Napoleon, Ohio. She was a 1986 graduate of Tinora High School, achieved a bachelor's degree from University of Toledo, achieved a degree in criminal justice from Northwest State Community College, and her juris doctorate from University of Toledo School of Law. In 2007, she went into private practice and most recently practicing in Delta, Ohio. In 2010, she received the Northwest State Community College Distinguished Alumni Award.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance and was a member of the Ohio Bar Association. She enjoyed traveling, antiquing and watching her son, Alex, in Napoleon High School jazz choir and various other musical and drama productions and spending quality time with her niece and nephews.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kathryn (Charles) Flory of Defiance; father, Alvin Warncke of Holgate; son, Alexander Sonnenberg of Napoleon; husband, Douglas Chapman of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; brother, Todd (Elizabeth) Warncke of Defiance; and niece and nephews, Tiana, Trevor and Turner Warncke.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Warncke.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the funeral.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Troy Warncke Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Farmer's and Merchant's Bank; or a charity of the donor's choice.
