PAULDING--Marietta Louise Harper, age 82, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the Gardens of Paulding.
She was born on August 4th, 1930, in Payne, Ohio, to Paul and Bertha (Mabis) Zielke. She was baptized on September 3rd, 1930, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Briceton, Ohio, and was a life long member. She married Frank A. Harper on March 19, 1952. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Carol (Russ) Flint, Brenda Riggenbach and Patti (Brian) Stoller, all of Paulding and one son, Ron (Judy) of Springboro, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Bruce (Karen) Flint of Narragansett, R.I.; Jennifer Higgenbotham, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; Kaleigh (Ryan) Mapes and Anthony Stoller, Paulding; and Brian, Troy and Morgan Harper of Springboro, Ohio. Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Krystal and Auron Flint, Narragansett, R.I. and a brother, Wayne Zielke.
Preceding her in death are her parents and four brothers, Alvin, Carl, Ray and Paul Zielke and two sisters, Clara (Dye) and Ruth.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Briceton. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
