SCOTT -- Darrold Lee Scott Sr., 70, Scott, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012, in his home after a long battle of cancer.
He was born March 27, 1942, to John and Pauline (Ranes) Scott of Continental, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Leota Mae (Lehman) Scott. They were married March 28, 1998. He has five children, Brian L. Scott, Paula M. Scott, Darrold (Debra) Scott Jr., Amy (Lawrence) Goings and Charlene (Terry) Pastor; stepchildren, Pattie Rangel, Barb Silliman, Kevin Huelsmeyer and David Huelsmeyer; brothers, Fred (Joann) Scott, Thomas (Sandy) Scott and Frank (Sharon) Scott; a sister, Flossie (Rhett) Chapman; 37 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, eight sisters, and a grandson, Dustin C. Scott.
He retired from GM, Defiance, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and UAW 211. He loved to be outside, loved outdoor sports and gardening. He was truly loved by all and will be greatly missed. His family hit the lottery -- he was one in a million.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. Terry Porter officiating with military burial rites accorded by Paulding VFW Post 587. Visitation will be 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
